December 10, 2012 - Airport officials tell James Bruggers of the Courier Journal that any tree cutting around Bowman Field won't likely happen until 2014.  (See: Watchdog Earth post of 12-10-12)

December 2, 2012 - Residents of Drayton Drive are planting low-growing trees (30 foot maximum heigth) in anticipation of changes to the area's tree canopy from the Bowman Field Area Safety Program.  The arboretum project is a joint effort with Ecotech and arborist Mike Hayman.  (See: CJ Article of 12-05-12)

September 21, 2012 - Leslie Barras presents letter to Advisory Council on Historic Preservation that addresses historic properties and avigation easement issues in Audubon Park (similar to issues to be faced by neighborhoods surrounding Bowman Field)  (see: Barras Letter 09-21-12

September 10, 2012 -  Interim State Historic Preservation Officer Lindy Casebier writes to FAA that avigation easements required in Audubon Park are an "unnecessary emcumberance that devalues properties in the historic district over time" and pose an "adverse effect within the meaning of Section 106 of the NHPA (similar to issues faced by neighborhoods surrounding Bowman Field).  (See: SHPA Letter 09-10-12.)
